Introduction
ZEDOTT DT 30MG TABLET contains Racecadotril which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiarrheals. It is used in children for the management of acute diarrhoea (sudden onset of three or more loose stools per day, lasting less than 14 days). Symptoms associated with diarrhoea includes abdominal cramps and pain, nausea, vomiting and severely it may cause blood or pus in the stool. How It Works
ZEDOTT DT 30MG TABLET helps in the management of diarrhoea as it has an antisecretory mechanism. It acts on the naturally occurring substances in our body called endogenous opioids (enkephalins) and manages their degradation which reduces the secretion of water and electrolytes in the intestine without disturbing the movements of the intestines.
Directions for Use
Give ZEDOTT DT 30MG TABLET to your child as advised by the physician. Dissolve the medicine in a glass of water and then give it to your child to drink immediately. Your child’s doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of ZEDOTT DT 30MG TABLET for your child depending upon the age, body weight and disease condition.
