Introduction
INTRODUCTIONYULIPRIST contains ulipristal acetate used to manage moderate to severe symptoms of a non-cancerous tumors of the uterus called uterine fibroids. It is used in adult women (over 18 years of age) before they reach the menopause. Uterine fibroids may cause heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain and create pressure on other organs. This medicine acts by modifying the activity of progesterone, a naturally occurring hormone in the body. YULIPRIST is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age since safety and efficacy of ulipristal acetate has not been established in this age group. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine. Drinking grapefruit juice should be avoided while taking this medicine. The recommended dose is one 5 mg tablet per day, for management courses of up to 3 months each or as directed by physician. You should always start taking this medicine within the first week of your menstrual period. It should be swallowed with water and may be taken with or without food.

How It Works
YULIPRIST works by blocking the effects of progesterone which play a role in the development of fibroids This stops the fibroids from growing and shrink in size.
Directions for Use
The recommended dose is one 5 mg tablet per day, for management courses of up to 3 months each or as prescribed by your doctor. It should be swallowed with water and may be taken with or without food.
Side Effects
YULIPRISTSERIOUS swelling of face, tongue or throat; difficulty swallowing; hives and breathing difficulties.
