Introduction

XTANE 25MG TABLET contains Exemestane which belongs to the group of medicines called Aromatase inhibitors. It is used for advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women whose disease has progressed following Tamoxifen therapy. It is also used for hormone-dependent advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women when management with different hormonal drug management has not worked well enough. Breast cancer is a disease in which cells in the breast grow out of control. There are different kinds of breast cancer. The kind of breast cancer depends on which cells in the breast turn into cancer. Breast cancer can begin in different parts of the breast. How It Works

XTANE 25MG TABLET belongs to aromatase inhibitor which blocks the enzyme aromatase (found in the body's muscle, skin, breast and fat), which is used to convert androgens (hormones produced by the adrenal glands) into estrogen. In the absence of estrogen, tumors dependent on this hormone for growth will shrink. It works by reducing the amount of oestrogen made in the body.

Directions for Use

Take XTANE 25MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.
