VILANO 40 TABLET works by inhibiting the reuptake of a brain chemical called serotonin, thus, increasing the level of serotonin which helps in regulating the mood. Thus, helps in the symptomatic relief of depressive disorder.
Directions for Use
Take VILANO 40 TABLET as advised by your doctor. VILANO 40 TABLET should be swallowed along with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the proper dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects
VILANO 40 TABLET includes suicidal thoughts. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience any such thoughts. VILANO 40 TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant, breast-feeding women and elders above 65 years of age. VILANO 40 TABLET is not recommended in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. Consult with your doctor before taking VILANO 40 TABLET. The most common symptoms of VILANO 40 TABLET are trouble sleeping, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea. DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not take VILANO 40 TABLET if you feel sleepy or reduced ability to think clearly, make decisions or react quickly after taking VILANO 40 TABLET. ALCOHOLAvoid the consumption of alcohol while taking VILANO 40 TABLET. ALLERGYDo not take VILANO 40 TABLET if you are allergic to Vilazodone or any other ingredients of this medicine. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug - Drug interactions: Before taking VILANO 40 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking the following medicines: monoamine oxidase inhibitors such as isocarboxazid, tricyclic antidepressants such as amitriptyline, doxepin, St. John Wart (used to manage depression) antibiotics such as linezolid (used to manage bacterial infection) intravenous methylene blue (used to manage methemoglobinemia) triptans such as sumatriptan (used to manage migraine) fentanyl, tramadol (used to manage severe pain) lithium (used to manage mental illness) tryptophan (used for biosynthesis of proteins to ensure proper body growth) buspirone (used to manage anxiety) amphetamine (used to manage ADHD, narcolepsy) aspirin, warfarin, dabigatran (used in the management of blood clotting) acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen (used to relive pain and inflammation) diuretics such as furosemide, spironolactone (used in the management of high blood pressure, oedema, heart failure) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of VILANO 40 TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
