It contains certain organic and inorganic filters as active ingredients that work together to protect the skin from harmful sunrays. Bis-ethylhexyloxyphenol methoxyphenyl triazine and zinc oxide act as filters that manage the UV rays from penetrating the skin. Zinc oxide is an efficient inorganic particulate broad-spectrum UVA and UVB absorber, scatterer and reflector. Ethylhexyl Triazone absorbs UV-A II and UV-B radiation. Diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate provides broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection. Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate absorbs UV-B radiation. Ethylhexyl Triazone provides an appropriate Sun Protection Factor (SPF) in sunscreens. Butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane has the ability to absorb UV light over a wide range of wavelengths and convert it into less damaging infrared radiation (heat).
