Introduction
TYNEPT TABLET contains Tianeptine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidepressants. It is used to manage neurotic or reactive states of depression, anxiodepressive states with complaints such as digestive problems and anxio-depressive states observed in the alcoholic undergoing detoxification. Depression is a mental disorder characterized by persistent sadness and a lack of interest or pleasure in previously rewarding or enjoyable activities. It can also disturb sleep and appetite. Before taking TYNEPT TABLET inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver disease. TYNEPT TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnancy and breast-feeding women. It should not be given to children and adolescents below 15 years of age. TYNEPT TABLET should be used with caution in patients who have to undergo any kind of surgery. How It Works
TYNEPT TABLET helps in management of depression by acting on the central nervous system. It increases the levels of certain chemical messengers (serotonin) in the brain which alleviates the mood and helps in decreasing anxiety and depression.
Directions for Use
Take TYNEPT TABLET as advised by your doctor. Swallow the medicines with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration of TYNEPT TABLET for you depending upon your age, disease condition and body weight.
Side Effects

Drug Interactions
SA. Drug–Drug Interaction: Before taking TYNEPT TABLET inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid and mianserin (used to manage depression) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of TYNEPT TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdosage include alertness disorders.
