Introduction

TYNEPT OD TABLET contains Tianeptine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidepressants. It is used to manage neurotic or reactive states of depression, anxiodepressive states with complaints such as digestive problems and anxio-depressive states observed in the alcoholic undergoing detoxification. Depression is a mental disorder characterized by persistent sadness and a lack of interest or pleasure in previously rewarding or enjoyable activities. It can also disturb sleep and appetite. Before taking TYNEPT OD TABLET inform your doctor if you have any kidney or liver disease. TYNEPT OD TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnancy and breast-feeding women. It should not be given to children and adolescents below 15 years of age. TYNEPT OD TABLET should be used with caution in patients who have to undergo any kind of surgery. TYNEPT OD TABLET helps in management of depression by acting on the central nervous system. It increases the levels of certain chemical messengers (serotonin) in the brain which alleviates the mood and helps in decreasing anxiety and depression.

Directions for Use

Drug Interactions

SA. Drug–Drug Interaction: Before taking TYNEPT OD TABLET inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid and mianserin (used to manage depression) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of TYNEPT OD TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdosage include alertness disorders.
