How It Works

TRANESMA TABLET manages bleeding by blocking the plasminogen from binding with fibrin which results in bleeding. As a result, it manages and controls bleeding associated with various conditions.

Directions for Use

Take TRANESMA TABLET as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not take this medicine before your period has started as it will not work properly. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration and frequency of TRANESMA TABLET for you depending upon age, weight and disease conditions.

Side Effects

taking TRANESMA TABLET are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, tiredness and stomach pain. Consult your doctor immediately if any of the side effect worsens. USES OF TRANESMA TABLETIt is used to manage bleeding in conditions such as: heavy menstrual bleeding in women bleeding from the nose bleeding inside the digestive system (gastrointestinal system, Ex. inflammatory bowel disease)) blood in urine (not caused by the kidney (renal parenchyma)) bleeding after undergoing surgery (such as dental extraction in patients with coagulopathies, cervix surgery) HOW TRANESMA TABLET WORKSTRANESMA TABLET manages bleeding by blocking the plasminogen from binding with fibrin which results in bleeding. & PRECAUTIONSPREGNANCYTRANESMA TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant women only if considered clearly necessary. Inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant before using TRANESMA TABLET. BREASTFEEDINGTRANESMA TABLET should be used with caution in breastfeeding women only if advised by the doctor as it may pass through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking TRANESMA TABLET. DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness after taking TRANESMA TABLET. KIDNEYTRANESMA TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment. TRANESMA TABLET should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment and your doctor may adjust the dose depending upon kidney function. Consult your doctor for advice before taking TRANESMA TABLET. LIVERNo dose adjustment is required in patients with hepatic impairment. Consult your doctor for advice. ALLERGYDo not take TRANESMA TABLET if you are allergic to Tranexamic Acid or any other ingredients of this medicine. LUNGSTRANESMA TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with pulmonary embolism (arteries of the lungs are blocked by clot). Consult your doctor before taking TRANESMA TABLET. OTHERSTRANESMA TABLET is not recommended for use if you: have a blood clotting disorder (consumption coagulopathy) have history of fits or seizure disorder have an irregular menstrual cycle have acquired disturbances of color vision have history of venous or arterial thrombosis (blood clot in artery/veins) have deep vein thrombosis, cerebral thrombosis (blood clot of cerebral vein in brain) have subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in space between brain and tissue covering the brain) have blood in urine between periods Before taking TRANESMA TABLET inform your physician if you: have changes in normal bleeding pattern have family history of endometrial cancer have abnormal bleeding between the periods have bleeding during or after sexual intercourse have premenstrual pain or lower abdominal pain have bleeding after menopause have obstruction of the urinary tract are at a risk for the formation of a blood clot are diabetic are overweight have polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) Use in pediatrics: Safety and effectiveness of TRANESMA TABLET in children and adolescents below 18 years of age has not been established yet. Consult your child’s doctor for advice. Use in geriatrics: TRANESMA TABLET is not recommended for use in elderly women after menopause (stoppage of periods). Consult your doctor before taking TRANESMA TABLET.

Drug Interactions

SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking TRANESMA TABLET inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: Ethinyl estradiol, levonorgestrel (oral contraceptives used to manage pregnancy) estrogen (used to manage hormone disorder) streptokinase, reteplase, tenecteplase (used to a breakdown blood clots) tamoxifen (used to manage breast cancer) trans-retinoic acid (used to manage acne) factor IX complex concentrates (used to stop bleeding) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally takes too much of TRANESMA TABLET, contact your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital immediately. Overdosage symptoms of TRANESMA TABLET are headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abnormal blood pressure, impaired vision, abnormal mental status, skin rashes, dizziness and fits or seizures.
