SUPPOL CHILD SUPPOSITORIES Manage pain and fever in children (from 3 months to 12 years of age), who finds it difficult to take the medicine orally HOW SUPPOL CHILD SUPPOSITORIES WORKSSUPPOL CHILD SUPPOSITORIES relieves pain by increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the synthesis of chemicals responsible for inducing pain (prostaglandins). It reduces fever by directly acting on heat-regulating centers in the brain, resulting in vessel relaxation, sweating and loss of body heat. DIRECTIONS FOR USEAdminister SUPPOL CHILD SUPPOSITORIES to your child as advised by the physician. It is for rectal use only. Your child’s bowel needs to be empty when you administer it. Wash your hands and peel the wrapping apart. Do not break the medicine before use. Smoothly push into the back passage of the child with the pointed end first. Slightly warm it between your hands beforehand to make it easier. Tell your child to keep still for a minute or two and then clean your hands. Your child’s doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for your child based on the child’s age, body weight and disease condition.
