Introduction

SOLVIN OD TABLET is a combination of Levocetirizine and Pseudoephedrine which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihistamines and Nasal Decongestants respectively. It is used to get relief from symptoms of hay fever or other respiratory allergies. The symptoms are runny nose, sneezing, itchy and watery eyes, itching of the nose and nasal congestion. SOLVIN OD TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having severe kidney disease. It should be taken with caution in patients who have heart or liver disease, epilepsy, thyroid, high blood pressure, diabetes and difficulty in urination. In pregnant women, SOLVIN OD TABLET should be used with caution and it is contraindicated in breast-feeding mothers unless advised by the doctor. SOLVIN OD TABLET helps to reduce the symptoms of hay fever or other respiratory allergies, where levocetirizine is a H1 receptor antagonist which stops the action of histamine by acting on histamine receptors which results in muscle relaxation, decrease in flare responses and non- activation of cough receptors. Pseudoephedrine is an alpha-adrenergic agonist which effectively relaxes the bronchial muscles and blood vessels.

Directions for Use
