Introduction

SOLINET 10 TABLET contains Solifenacin which belongs to the group of medicines called Urinary antispasmodics. It is used to manage the signs of overactive bladder (such as sudden urge to pass urine, increased frequency of passing urine, unable to control urine and wetting yourself because you couldn’t go the bathroom). SOLINET 10 TABLET reduces the activity of an overactive bladder and enables you to wait longer before having to go to the bathroom. Try to take SOLINET 10 TABLET at the same time each day to achieve maximum benefits. It can be taken with or without meals. Before taking SOLINET 10 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any other problems in the bladder that obstructs urine flow or if you have glaucoma, constipation, stomach problems (such as tear or block in the gut), muscle weakness or urinary tract infections as a precaution. SOLINET 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who are not able to pass urine (urinary retention) and in patients with severe bowel problems (such as toxic megacolon). How It Works

SOLINET 10 TABLET is a muscle relaxant which relaxes the smooth muscles surrounding the bladder. This helps your bladder to hold more volume of urine and controls urine flow. As a result, it reduces the activity of an overactive bladder and enables you to wait longer before having to go to the bathroom.

Directions for Use

Take SOLINET 10 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. SOLINET 10 TABLET can be taken with or without food. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects

DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate any machines if you experience sleepiness, tiredness or blurred vision after taking SOLINET 10 TABLET. KIDNEYSOLINET 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe kidney problems (including in those who undergo dialysis). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. LIVERSOLINET 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with moderate to severe liver problems. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. ALLERGYDo not take SOLINET 10 TABLET if you are allergic to Solifenacin. HEART DISEASESOLINET 10 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart problems (such as heart failure). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it. OTHERSSOLINET 10 TABLET is not recommended for use if you: have urinary retention (unable to pass urine) have a severe stomach or bowel condition (including toxic megacolon, ulcerative colitis) have myasthenia gravis (severe muscle weakness) have glaucoma Before taking SOLINET 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you: have any bladder obstruction have difficulty in passing urine have constipation or any obstruction in the gut have a stomach tear (hiatus hernia) have heartburn have nerve pain (autonomic neurpathy) have urinary tract infection Use in pediatrics: SOLINET 10 TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years of age). Drug Interactions

SA. Drug – Drug Interaction: Before taking SOLINET 10 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines such as: medicines used to manage fungal infections (Ex. ketoconazole, itraconazole) medicines used to manage viral infections (Ex. ritonavir, nelfinavir) medicines used to manage high blood pressure (Ex. verapamil, diltiazem) other anticholinergic medicines (used to increased heart rate, reduce body secretions and increase body movements) Ex. ipratropium, atropine medicines used to manage reflux disease (Ex. metoclopramide and cisapride) medicines such as bisphosphonates used to manage bone loss rifampicin (a medicine used to manage tuberculosis) medicines used to manage fits (Ex. phenytoin, carbamazepine) B. Drug – Food Interactions: SOLINET 10 TABLET can be taken with or without food. Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally took more SOLINET 10 TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are headache, dry mouth, dizziness, drowsiness, blurred vision, hallucinations, over-excitability, seizures, difficulty in breathing, increased heart rate, accumulation of urine in the bladder and dilated pupils.
