Solacid Tablet is an antacid and anti-flatulent agent used to provide relief from acidity, heartburn, nausea, acid reflux, bloating and stomach upset. It can also be used to reduce stomach pain and discomfort caused due to peptic ulcer. It contains dried aluminium hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate, magnesium hydroxide and simethicone as active ingredients to relieve digestive symptoms. Antacids such as dry aluminium hydroxide, magnesium trisilicate and magnesium hydroxide acts by neutralising stomach acid production, lowering stomach symptoms caused by gastric acid secretions such as acidity, heartburn, indigestion and so on. It also keeps stomach ulcers from worsening in affected patients. Simethicone is a surfactant, that has anti-flatulence effects. It acts by lowering the surface tension of air (gas) bubbles in the GI tract. During bowel actions, this activity aids in the elimination of stored gas from the gastrointestinal region. Always take Solacid Tablet as advised by the doctor. Chew the tablet completely before swallowing. Recommended dosage is 1 to 2 tablets to be chewed after each meal or whenever required. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components.
