Introduction
INTRODUCTIONSEROCIT 467MG contains Tri-sodium citrate which belongs to the group of medicines called Anticoagulants. It is used for anticoagulation of whole blood as a part of an automated apheresis procedure which is a process of collecting platelets and other components of blood using a cell separator from the donor to which an anticoagulant is added to delay the process of clotting in the collected or donated blood. SEROCIT 467MG is not recommended to be directly infused to the donor. It is not recommended for use in patients who are allergic to sodium citrate. It should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver or renal function, low body temperature, and low blood calcium levels. SEROCIT 467MG should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. Also, it should be used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) and in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). The most common
