INTRODUCTION ABOUT SENSODIUM TOOTH PASTESensodium Tooth Paste is a medicated oral gel used in the management of dentinal hypersensitivity (DH). It contains potassium nitrate and sodium monofluorophosphate as active ingredients to strengthen the teeth. Sodium Monofluorophosphate is an anticaries agent that decreases enamel demineralization and manages teeth against cavities. Potassium nitrate is a desensitising substance that blocks the exposed dentinal tubules (tooth structure located adjacent to the enamel layer) that cause unpleasant sensitivity. It strengthens teeth's resistance to stimuli such as heat, cold, acids and sweets. Always use Sensodium Tooth Paste as directed by your doctor/dentist. It is only for dental usage. Brush twice a day with the needed amount of paste (about 2.5cm) in a soft bristle toothbrush. Do not swallow the toothpaste. Brush the sensitive areas for a long period of time.
