How It Works
Salicylic acid is a potent keratolytic agent, which dissolve the intercellular substance in the horny layer of skin. It also encourages the peeling of the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and opens up the clogged follicles, which reduces pimples, pustules and comedones and helps in the re-establishment of normal skin.
Directions for Use
Use this medicine as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wet your face with water. Take 2 actuations (about 1 ml) of foam and gently massage the foam all over the wet face avoiding eyes and surrounding areas. Allow the foam to remain on the face for about 20-30 seconds. Rinse it thoroughly with water and pat dry. For better results, use it twice daily. Avoid contact of this medicine with eyes, mouth, nose or other mucous membrane. Do not apply this medicine on wounded, damaged or cut skin. Continue to use this medicine, as long as your doctor tells you to do so, to obtain better results.
Side Effects
this medicine are dryness and scaling. Contact your doctor if this bothers you. Before using this medicine, inform your doctor if you recently had chickenpox or received varicella vaccine, because salicylic acid should be avoided in such patients at least for the period of 6 weeks as a precaution. This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before taking.
