Introduction
ROBINAXOL TABLET is a combination of Methocarbamol and Paracetamol, which belong to the groups of medicines called Muscle relaxants, Analgesics and antipyretics, respectively. ROBINAXOL TABLET is used to manage painful muscle spasms associated with short-term muscle disorders like spasms in the lower back. Muscle spasm is a condition in which there are sudden, painful, and involuntary muscle contractions that occur when the nerve impulses that control the muscle movements are damaged or interrupted. ROBINAXOL TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who have or have had brain damage or a coma, epilepsy or convulsions, or myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness). Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any problems related to the kidney or liver. Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. How It Works
ROBINAXOL TABLET is a combination of Methocarbamol and Paracetamol. Methocarbamol is a muscle relaxant that works on the brain and spinal cord to relieve muscle stiffness or spasm and to improve pain and movement of muscles. Paracetamol is an Analgesic and Antipyretic that works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers in the brain that cause pain and fever. Thus, together they relieve pain and relax the muscles.
Directions for Use
Always take ROBINAXOL TABLET as directed by your physician. Take it with or without food, swallow the medicine as full and do not crush or chew the medicine. Do not stop taking ROBINAXOL TABLET without informing your doctor.
Side Effects
ROBINAXOL TABLET are nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, itching, etc. Consult your doctor for advice if your symptoms get worse over time. Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking ROBINAXOL TABLET inform your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines: medicines used to manage insomnia (Ex. barbiturates) medicines used as tricyclic antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline) medicines used to manage high cholesterol (Ex. cholestyramine) medicines used to thin the blood and manage clotting (Ex. warfarin) medicines used to manage HIV infections and AIDS (Ex. zidovudine) medicines used to manage nausea and vomiting (Ex. domperidone and metoclopramide) medicines used to manage epilepsy or fits (anticonvulsants) (Ex. Phenobarbitone) oral contraceptives Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ROBINAXOL TABLET, consult your doctor immediately. Overdosage may cause side effects such as paleness, nausea (feeling sick), sweating, vomiting (being sick), loss of appetite and abdominal pain may occur.
