Diclofenac and methyl salicylate reduces the formation of prostaglandins (certain chemicals which are responsible to cause pain and swelling in the joints). Linseed oil reduces inflammation. Menthol dilates the blood vessels causing a sensation of coldness, followed by a pain-relieving effect. Always use Relaxyl Gel exactly as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Avoid direct application into nostrils, eyes and mucous membranes. Do not apply external heat or occlusive dressings in the managed joints. Avoid exposure of managed joint to normal or artificial sunlight. It should not be used on broken or irritated skin.
