Introduction
RABIUM 10MG TABLET contains Rabeprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. It is used to manage Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), peptic ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumours in the pancreas causing the stomach to secrete more acid). GERD is a chronic digestive disease in which the stomach acid frequently flows into the oesophagus leading to the irritation of lining of the food pipe. Symptoms include heartburn, chest pain, nausea, sensation of lump in throat and stomach discomfort. Peptic ulcers are painful sores that develop on the linings of the stomach, oesophagus and/or intestines. Symptoms include stomach pain, flatulence, indigestion, vomiting and fatigue. Take RABIUM 10MG TABLET preferably before meals or as directed by the physician. Before taking RABIUM 10MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have vitamin B12 deficiency, osteoporosis or any tumors in your stomach. How It Works
RABIUM 10MG TABLET is a proton pump inhibitor. It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach by blocking the actions of an enzyme called H+ K+ ATPase (also known as proton pump) which is present in the lining of the stomach walls. As a result, it reduces the chances for acid reflux into the oesophagus, heals peptic ulcers and esophageal lesions and manages its recurrence.
Directions for Use
Take RABIUM 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. It is preferably taken in the mornings or at any time of the day before meals. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects
