Introduction

INTRODUCTION ABOUT RABIPLUS CAPSULERABIPLUS CAPSULE contains Rabeprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. It is used to manage Gastro-esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), peptic ulcer and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumours in the pancreas causing the stomach to secrete more acid). GERD is a chronic digestive disease in which the stomach acid frequently flows into the oesophagus leading to the irritation of lining of the food pipe. Symptoms include heartburn, chest pain, nausea, sensation of lump in throat and stomach discomfort. Peptic ulcers are painful sores that develop on the linings of the stomach, oesophagus and/or intestines. Symptoms include stomach pain, flatulence, indigestion, vomiting and fatigue. Take RABIPLUS CAPSULE preferably before meals or as directed by the physician. Before taking RABIPLUS CAPSULE inform your doctor if you have any liver problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have vitamin B12 deficiency, osteoporosis or any tumors in your stomach. How It Works

RABIPLUS CAPSULE is a proton pump inhibitor. It reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach by blocking the actions of an enzyme called H+ K+ ATPase (also known as proton pump) which is present in the lining of the stomach walls. As a result, it reduces the chances for acid reflux into the oesophagus, heals peptic ulcers and esophageal lesions and manages its recurrence.
