INTRODUCTION ABOUT PREVODINE 7.5 SOLUTIONPrevodine Solution is a microbicidal solution used for degerming the skin pre-and-post operatively for all surgical procedures. It is for antiseptic management of superficial wounds, traumatic injuries, burns including vaginal preparation prior to a surgical procedure. It contains povidone iodine as an active ingredient to decrease the risk of infection by killing the micro-organisms at the site of application. Povidone-iodine inhibits the synthesis of various cellular mechanisms of pathogenic organisms (such as bacteria, virus, fungi and protozoa) that lead to their death. Also, it exhibits anti-inflammatory reactions that counteracts inflammation associated with pathogens and host response. Always use Prevodine Solution as advised by your doctor. It is for external use only. Clean the affected area and apply a small amount of solution to the affected area. The area may be left uncovered or you may cover with a sterile bandage.
