How It Works
PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET is a dopamine agonist which binds to a set of dopamine receptors in the brain. It relieves Parkinsonism by stimulating dopamine receptors present in the striatum (part of the brain that is responsible for cognition, planning, decision-making, motivation, reinforcement, and reward perception).
Directions for Use
Take PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

BREASTFEEDINGPRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before taking. DRIVING AND USING MACHINESUse of PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET can cause sleepiness, drowsiness, hallucinations and sudden onset of sleep. Hence, it is not recommended to drive or use machines after taking this medicine. ALCOHOLAvoid alcohol consumption while taking PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET as it may increase the risk of sleepiness. KIDNEYPRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with kidneys disease. Contact your doctor before taking. LIVERPRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver diseases. Contact your doctor before taking. ALLERGYDo not take PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET if you are allergic to Pramipexole or to other ingredients of the medicine. LUNGSPRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with existing pulmonary diseases. Contact your doctor before taking. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug-Drug Interactions: Before taking PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: cimetidine, ranitidine, pantoprazole, antacids (medicines used to manage excess acid and to manage gastric ulcers) amantadine, levodopa, benztropine (medicines used to manage parkinson’s disease) mexiletine, procainamide, quinidine (medicines used to manage irregular heartbeats zidovudine (medicine used to manage HIV infection) cisplatin (medicine used to manage various types of cancers) quinine (medicines used to manage malaria) any medicines that calm you down (sedative effect) phenothiazines, butyrophenones, thioxanthenes (medicines used to manage schizophrenia and psychoses) metoclopramide (medicines used to manage nausea and vomiting) diltiazem, triamterene, verapamil, hydrochlorothiazide (medicines used to manage high blood pressure and heart diseases) cefadroxil, cefaclor, amoxicillin (medicines used for bacterial infections) indomethacin (medicines used to manage pain) chlorpropamide (medicines used to manage diabetes mellitus) Overdosage: If you miss a dose of PRAMIROL 0.5MG TABLET, do not take double dose.
