INTRODUCTION ABOUT POVIDOT OINMENTPOVIDOT OINMENT contains Povidone-Iodine, which belongs to the group of medicines called Broad-spectrum antiseptics. POVIDOT OINMENT is used as an antiseptic for the management of minor damage or infection of the skin. It kills harmful infection-causing microorganisms. It also helps in the management of infection in burns, lacerations, cuts, and abrasions, management of common skin infections, and infection control following circumcision, suture removal, and dressing changes, degerming care of stasis ulcers, decubitus ulcers, and the umbilical area, and in other procedures where degerming is needed. Before using POVIDOT OINMENT, inform your doctor if you have any kind of allergies, if you currently have or have ever had a thyroid problem, if you are currently having lithium therapy for depression, if your skin is broken (for example, due to a burn), or if you currently have, or have ever had, a kidney problem.
