renal tubular acidosis (RTA) with calcium stones, hypocitraturic calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis of any etiology and uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones Talk to Doctor Pregnancy & Breast Feeding Children & Adolescents Driving & Using Machines Talk to your Doctor, if you: are allergic or hypersensitive to potassium citrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine have cardiac arrest have uncontrolled diabetes mellitus have acute dehydration have peptic ulcer disease have liver or kidney disease have severe myocardial damage If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine Ask your doctor for advice before giving this medicine to your children [DRIVINGMACHINES] Tell your doctor if you are taking, potassium-sparing diuretics (triamterene, spironolactone or amiloride) Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you Swallow the medicines with water If you take more POTRATE 5MG If you think that you or anyone else may have taken too many medicines, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately If you forget to take POTRATE 5MG If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then continue your management as before. Don't take a double dose to make up for a missed dose If you stop taking POTRATE 5MG Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
