How It Works

POTRATE 10MG TABLET works by increasing urinary PH (alkaline) and raises urinary citrate by stopping its clearance. It also increases the urinary potassium and also reduces urinary calcium levels in some patients. Thus the changes induced by POTRATE 10MG TABLET produces urine that is less prone to formation of stones (calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate and uric acid). POTRATE 10MG TABLET also decreases calcium ion concentration by forming complex and the rise in urinary pH also increases the ionization of uric acid to the more soluble urate ion.
