INTRODUCTION ABOUT PEGLEC PLUS SACHETPeglec Plus Sachet is indicated for bowel cleansing prior to colorectal surgery, colonoscopy and barium meal X-ray examination. It contains activated dimethicone, polyethylene glycol, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride and sodium sulphate as active for gastrointestinal lavage. A laxative called polyethylene glycol works by luring water into the colon, softening and making stomach contents (faeces) easier to pass. Activated dimethicone is an antifoaming agent which allows easy passage of gas by disintegrating gas bubbles. Potassium chloride, sodium sulphate, sodium bicarbonate and sodium chloride are needed to balance the fluid levels in the digestive system to further cleanse the stomach contents. Always take Peglec Plus Sachet as advised by your doctor. For usage, take 2 litre container available in pack and empty the sachet contents. Pour 1 litre of water into the container and shake well to dissolve it completely. Thereafter makeup the solution by adding water up to the mark (200 ml) provided in the container and shake thoroughly to ensure complete dissolution. Recommended dosage is one sachet for adults. Use the prepared solution immediately, do not store in the solution for later use.
