INTRODUCTIONOVISTERONE SR contain Dehydroepiandrosterone which belongs to a group of medicine called steroids. It is used for women with having ovary with less reproductive potential and responding poorly in vitro fertilization (IVF). Dehydroepiandrosterone is produced by the outer layer of the adrenal glands, known as the adrenal cortex. It is an important source of oestrogens in the women which provides maximum percentage of oestrogens before and after menopause. Directions for Use
Always take OVISTERONE SR exactly as your doctor has told you. It must be taken with or without food and try to take at the same time each day. It should be swallowed whole with water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. The recommended dose is one tablet once a day.

ALCOHOLConsumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with OVISTERONE SR. KIDNEYOVISTERONE SR should be used with caution in patients suffering from active kidney diseases. Consult your doctor for advice. LIVEROVISTERONE SR should be used with caution in patients suffering from liver function impairment or active liver diseases. Consult your doctor for advice. ALLERGYDo not take OVISTERONE SR if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Dehydroepiandrosterone or any other ingredients in this medicine. HEART DISEASEOVISTERONE SR should be used with caution in patients suffering from active heart diseases (ischaemic heart disease). Consult your doctor for advice. OTHERSTell your doctor if you have or had a condition such as, any form of cancer or at risk of cancer; DHEA has promoted growth of some tumour types (e.g. breast cancer, prostate cancer) at a risk of breast cancer (in women, including postmenopausal women) and prostate cancer; risk may be higher during DHEA long-term supplementation hypercholesterolaemia (lowering of HDL has occurred during DHEA therapy) history of psychiatric disorders (risk of exacerbation) history of mood disorders
