Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT OTOLEV EAR DROPSOTOLEV EAR DROPS contains levofloxacin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. OTOLEV EAR DROPS is used to manage ear infections (caused by susceptible organisms) which includes otitis externa, acute and chronic otitis media (middle ear infection). It is also used in the prophylaxis of infectious ear infections (before and after surgery) which is also used to manage ear traumas. The medicine is also indicated for use to extract the foreign body from external auditory meatus associated with ear tissue damage in affected individuals. OTOLEV EAR DROPS is not recommended for use in patients allergic to levofloxacin, and/or other quinolone antibiotics. Before using OTOLEV EAR DROPS, inform your doctor if you use contact lenses. OTOLEV EAR DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. The medicine is recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged 1 to 18 years). How It Works
OTOLEV EAR DROPS works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (enzyme responsible for DNA synthesis) in bacteria which results in destruction of bacterial cell structure thus managing the occurrence of ear infections (such as otitis externa, acute & chronic otitis media) in affected individuals.
Directions for Use
Use OTOLEV EAR DROPS as directed by your doctor. It is for external use only. Wash your hands and tighten the cap of the nozzle which will pierce the tip of the vial. Tilt your head/lie down with the affected ear facing upwards. Gently pull the top of the ear upward and backward and instil the required quantity of drops in the affected ear. Avoid touching the ear with the tip of the dropper. Place your head tilted up for three to five minutes. Replace and tighten the cap after use. Your doctor will decide exact dose and duration according to your disease condition, weight, and age.

Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally instils too much of OTOLEV EAR DROPS or swallows it (accidentally) then consult your doctor or visit the nearby hospital to manage the overdose effects.
