Introduction

ORMALIN 60 TABLET contains Ormeloxifene which belongs to the group of medicines called Selective estragon receptor modulators. ORMALIN 60 TABLET is used in women of reproductive age groups to manage dysfunctional uterine bleeding which is a condition that occurs when normal cycle of menstruation gets disrupted. ORMALIN 60 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Ormeloxifene. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from tuberculosis and/or chronic cervicitis/hyperplasia (inflammation of cervix). Before taking ORMALIN 60 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have liver problems (such as jaundice, severe hepatic dysfunction) and/or kidney problems. ORMALIN 60 TABLET is generally not recommended for use during pregnancy since the medicine has contraceptive effects. If pregnancy occurs while in management with ORMALIN 60 TABLET, then it should be discontinued. The medicine is advised to be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it may pass through breast milk. How It Works

ORMALIN 60 TABLET works by causing asynchrony in the menstrual cycle between ovulation and development of uterine lining which cause uterine lining to shed more slowly resulting in reduced of loss of bleeding thus managing dysfunctional uterine bleeding in affected individuals.

Directions for Use

Take ORMALIN 60 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of the medicine for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Drug – Drug Interactions: Before taking ORMALIN 60 TABLET, inform your doctor, if you are taking any of the following medicine: ciprofloxacin, cefixime, metronidazole. tetracycline (used to manage bacterial infections) amlodipine, atenolol (used to manage blood pressure) theophylline (used to manage asthma) metformin, pioglitazone and glibenclamide (used to manage diabetes) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of ORMALIN 60 TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
