ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY opens and clears the nasal passages. It works by narrowing down the blood vessels supplying the nasal passage. This helps swollen blood vessels of the nasal tract to return to its normal size which allows the air to pass through the nostrils more freely. ALLERGYDo not use ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY if your child is allergic to Xylometazoline or to any other ingredients of this medicine. HEART DISEASEORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in children with heart disease (such as hypertension, prolonged QT syndrome). Therefore, consult your doctor before administration. Drug Interactions

SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before using ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY, inform your doctor if your child is taking any of the following medicines: antidepressants (used to manage depression) such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Ex. moclobemide, isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine), tricyclic antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline, nortriptyline), lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram, escitalopram etc medicines used to control blood pressure such as alpha blockers (Ex. prazosin, terazocin) or beta blockers (Ex. propranolol, atenolol) timolol, betaxolol (used to manage glaucoma in the eye) appetite suppressants (used for suppressing hunger) Ex. phentermine oxytocin (a medicine used during childbirth) ergot alkaloids (used for migraine headache) Ex. ergotamine Overdosage: If your child accidentally swallowed the medicine or applied too much of ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdosage might include severe dizziness, increased sweating, severely lowered body temperature, headache, slow heart rate, hypertension or difficulty in breathing.
