Do not use ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY for more than 10 days to your child without consulting your doctor. Before using ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY inform your doctor if your child has heart problems or thyroid problems. You must also inform your doctor if your child has any other problems in the nasal tract apart from nasal congestion such as nasal inflammation, nasal dryness or any recent surgery in the nose. ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY opens and clears the nasal passages. It works by narrowing down the blood vessels supplying the nasal passage. This helps swollen blood vessels of the nasal tract to return to its normal size which allows the air to pass through the nostrils more freely. It also reduces excessive nasal secretions and provides temporary relief from nasal inflammation, swelling and discomfort.

ALLERGYDo not use ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY if your child is allergic to Xylometazoline or to any other ingredients of this medicine. HEART DISEASEORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY should be used with caution in children with heart disease (such as hypertension, prolonged QT syndrome). Therefore, consult your doctor before administration. OTHERSORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY is not recommended for use if your child: has any inflammation in the nasal passages recently had a neurosurgery or surgery in their nose has closed angle glaucoma (increased pressure within the eyes) has chronic nasal inflammation and nasal dryness (such as rhinitis sicca or atrophic rhinitis) has phaeochromocytoma (a rare tumor of the adrenal glands) Before using ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY inform your doctor if your child has: diabetes hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland) an enlarged prostate gland Use in pediatrics: ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY can be used in children and adolescents aged between 1-11 years. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug-Drug interactions: Before using ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY, inform your doctor if your child is taking any of the following medicines: antidepressants (used to manage depression) such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Ex. moclobemide, isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine), tricyclic antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline, nortriptyline), lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram, escitalopram etc medicines used to control blood pressure such as alpha blockers (Ex. prazosin, terazocin) or beta blockers (Ex. propranolol, atenolol) timolol, betaxolol (used to manage glaucoma in the eye) appetite suppressants (used for suppressing hunger) Ex. phentermine oxytocin (a medicine used during childbirth) ergot alkaloids (used for migraine headache) Ex. ergotamine Overdosage: If your child accidentally swallowed the medicine or applied too much of ORINASE PAEDIATRIC NASAL SPRAY, consult your doctor immediately. Symptoms of overdosage might include severe dizziness, increased sweating, severely lowered body temperature, headache, slow heart rate, hypertension or difficulty in breathing.
