It is used for the management of acute bacterial conjunctivitis. Bacterial conjunctivitis is also known as pink eye or Madras eye. Conjunctivitis is an infection of the outer surfaces of the eye. OPTICHLOR SL EYE OINTMENT belongs to an antibiotic which stops the growth of bacteria that cause eye infections. Drug Interactions
SA. Drug - Drug interactions: Inform your physician if you are taking, methotrexate (used to manage cancer) azathioprine (used for the immune system) chymotrypsin (used as a dietary supplement) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally uses too much of this medicine, you should wash your eye with plenty of water, if any painful symptoms continue after this, consult your doctor immediately.
