Introduction

INTRODUCTIONOLTEF contains Ofloxacin which belongs to a group of medicines called 4-quinolone antibacterial agents. It is used to manage eye infections caused such as bacterial conjunctivitis, bacterial corneal ulcers, bacterial keratitis, blepharitis and ear infections such as otitis externa and media acute otitis. Ofloxacin belongs to fluoroquinolones which is bactericidal, and its mode of action depends on blocking of bacterial DNA replication by binding itself to an enzyme called DNA gyrase.
