Introduction

NOZIA TABLET contains Ramosetron which belongs to the group of medicines called 5-HT3 (Serotonin) receptor antagonists. It is used to manage nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy and diarrheal IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) in men. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a gastrointestinal disorder that affects the intestine. Symptoms include stomach ache, diarrhoea or constipation, and bloating. NOZIA TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with ischemic colitis, constipation or constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome, large intestine carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease, infectious enteritis or history of abdominal surgery. NOZIA TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women and in children and adolescents (less than 18 years of age). NOZIA TABLET effectively manages nausea and vomiting by blocking the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor present in the gastrointestinal mucosa. It also manages irritable bowel syndrome by inhibiting the 5-HT3 receptor present in the myenteric plexus (which regulates bowel's movement).

Directions for Use

Take NOZIA TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Depending on your age, body weight, and medical condition, your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of the management for you.
