Introduction
MYMIFER TABLET is combination of Elemental Iron, Zinc Sulphate, and Folic Acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Minerals and Vitamins respectively. It is used to manage anaemia due to iron deficiency, pregnancy, chronic blood loss, chronic illness, and loss of appetite. It is used as supplemental therapy in lactating mothers. It is also used to manage weakness and lack of concentration. Anaemia is a condition in which there is deficiency of healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body's tissues. It is characterized by symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, yellowish skin, irregular heartbeats, and shortness of breath. MYMIFER TABLET is not recommended for use if you are allergic to folic acid. How It Works
MYMIFER TABLET helps in managing anaemia where iron plays a vital role in the synthesis of haemoglobin (red pigment in the blood that acts as oxygen carrier) in red blood cells whereas folic acid is required for the synthesis of genetic material and healthy blood cells. Zinc sulphate stimulates the synthesis of red blood cells.
Directions for Use
Take MYMIFER TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects
MYMIFER TABLET are nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, a metallic taste, staining of the teeth, and pain or discomfort below the ribs.
