Introduction

INTRODUCTION ABOUT MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPSMOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS contains Moxifloxacin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used for the management of infections of the eye (bacterial conjunctivitis) and ear. Bacterial conjunctivitis is the infection of the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) that lines the eyelid and covers the white part of your eyeball. Symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis include pain, discomfort, redness, itching, irritation, and watering of the eyes. Patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses if they have signs and symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis in the eye. MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant women or if you think you may be pregnant and in breastfeeding woman. Consult your doctor before using. MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS is not recommended for use in the newborn and it should be used with caution in children and adolescents. How It Works

MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV which are required for DNA replication and transcription resulting in cell death. This manages the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing and destroys them.

Directions for Use

Use MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS exactly as directed by your physician. It is for topical external use only. Wash your hands before and after use. Instil the recommended dose of MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS into the effected eye or ear without touching the tip of the medicine container. Your doctor will prescribe the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

OTHERSBefore using MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS, inform your doctor if you: wear contact lens have pain or swelling of the tendons (tendinitis) Use in pediatrics: MOXIBOW EYE/EAR DROPS is not recommended for use in infants below 1 year of age since safety and effectiveness have not been established in this age group.
