USES OF MONTULKAST L SYRUPIt is used for the management of signs and symptoms associated with: Allergic rhinitis (sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, nasal itching, red, watery or itchy eyes, throat irritation, cough, headache and tiredness) Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria (skin rashes and flares) Bronchial Asthma (breathing difficulties) HOW MONTULKAST L SYRUP WORKSMONTULKAST L SYRUP contains two medicines namely, levocetirizine and montelukast. Levocetirizine: It is an antihistamine that blocks the action of histamine, a chemical released by the immune system during an allergic reaction. By blocking histamine, it reduces symptoms like itching, sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. Montelukast: It is a leukotriene receptor antagonist that blocks the action of leukotrienes, chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, swelling, and constriction of the airways. This helps in reducing airway inflammation and controlling asthma symptoms, as well as treating allergic rhinitis. Together, this combination provides relief from allergy symptoms while also controlling asthma attacks and reducing inflammation in the airways. DIRECTIONS FOR USE Take MONTULKAST L SYRUP as advised by your physician Typically, the medicine is taken once daily, preferably in the evening, or as directed by your doctor. This medicine can be taken with or without food but taking it with food may help reduce any potential stomach upset. For Syrups, Suspension: Shake the medicine well before use. Measure the required amount of the medicine in the measuring cup provided within the pack and make your child drink it. Stick to the dosage and duration prescribed by your doctor.
