Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT MOFLOREN EYE OINTMENTMOFLOREN EYE OINTMENT contains Moxifloxacin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial conjunctivitis and other eye infections. Bacterial conjunctivitis is the infection of the transparent membrane (conjunctiva) that lines the eyelid and covers the white part of your eyeball. Symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis include pain, discomfort, redness, itching, irritation, and watering of the eyes. Patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses if they have signs and symptoms of bacterial conjunctivitis. MOFLOREN EYE OINTMENT should be used with caution in pregnant women or if you think you may be pregnant and in breastfeeding woman. Consult your doctor before using the medicine. MOFLOREN EYE OINTMENT is not recommended for use in the newborn and it should be used with caution in children and adolescents. MOFLOREN EYE OINTMENT works by inhibiting the bacterial enzymes DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV which are required for DNA replication and transcription resulting in cell death. This manages the bacterial cells from dividing and repairing and destroys them.

Use MOFLOREN EYE OINTMENT exactly as directed by your physician. Instil the medicine as advised by the physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Your doctor will prescribe the right dose depends on your age, body weight and severity of the infection.
