Introduction
MIOKOOL 40 TABLET contains Esomeprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors. It is used for the management of Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and heartburn. MIOKOOL 40 TABLET also helps in managing stomach ulcers or upper part of the gut (intestine) that are infected with Helicobacter pylori bacteria and Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs) medicines in adults and in adolescents above 12 years of age. It is also used to manage Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (too much acid produced in the stomach caused by a growth in the pancreas). GERD is a disease where acid from the stomach escapes into the tube which connects your throat to your stomach (esophagus) causing pain and inflammation. How It Works
MIOKOOL 40 TABLET belongs to proton pump inhibitor that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specific inhibition of enzymes in the stomach cell. It hence reduces gastric acidity by blocking the final step in acid production and helps in relief of acid related indigestion and heartburn.
Directions for Use
Take MIOKOOL 40 TABLET as advised by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow MIOKOOL 40 TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects
