Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT METACORTIL LITE CREAMMETACORTIL LITE CREAM is a combination of Hydroquinone, Tretinoin, Mometasone furoate which belongs to the group of medicines called Depigmenting agents, Retinoids and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used in adults for the management of moderate to severe melasma (dark spots on the skin) in association with sun-avoidance measures, like using sunscreens and wearing protective clothing. Melasma is one of the most frequently acquired hyperpigmentation (excess melanin production) disorders with symptoms such as symmetrical brown patches on sun exposed areas mainly on face. It is advised to avoid exposure to sun during management with METACORTIL LITE CREAM for better results. While going out apply sunscreens and wear full covering protective clothes. Before using METACORTIL LITE CREAM inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney, lung or heart diseases. How It Works
METACORTIL LITE CREAM helps in managing melasma where Hydroquinone is a skin bleaching agent that blocks enzyme tyrosinase which is responsible for the production of melanin that cause pigmentation. Thus, it helps for fading of dark spots in skin. Tretinoin helps to recover the damage to the skin caused by sun exposure (photodamage) by thickening skin layer and loss of keratinized cells.it helps to rejuvenate the skin. Mometasone furoate blocks prostaglandin synthesis and reduces redness, swelling and itching caused by tretinoin and other skin infections.
Directions for Use
Apply METACORTIL LITE CREAM as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash your hands before and after applying METACORTIL LITE CREAM. Wash your face with a mild soap and dry properly. Apply METACORTIL LITE CREAM at night and gently massage it in until it is absorbed. Avoid contact with your eyes, nose, mouth, mucous membrane. Avoid exposure to sunlight while using this medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
