MACPOD CV 200MG TABLET is a combination of Cefpodoxime and Clavulanic acid, which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporins and Beta-lactamase inhibitors, respectively. MACPOD CV 200MG TABLET is used to manage mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of microorganisms in conditions such as acute otitis media (middle ear infection), pharyngitis (sore throat)/tonsillitis (inflammation of tonsils), community-acquired pneumonia, chronic bronchitis (respiratory infection), and acute maxillary sinusitis (sinus infection) in affected individuals. MACPOD CV 200MG TABLET is also used to manage uncomplicated skin structure infections, urethral and cervical gonorrhoea (sexually transmitted disease), anorectal (anal/rectal) infections, and urinary tract infections in affected individuals. MACPOD CV 200MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Cefpodoxime, Clavulanic Acid, and/or other cephalosporin groups of antibiotics. It is also not recommended for use in patients suffering from galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency (lactose intolerance), and glucose-galactose malabsorption (a condition marked by the inability of the body to absorb glucose and galactose sugars). Before taking MACPOD CV 200MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have previous history of hypersensitivity reactions to medicines such as cefpodoxime, other cephalosporins, penicillin, and/or have kidney problems (such as mild/moderate/severe renal impairment) and liver problems (such as hepatic insufficiency/impairment).
