INTRODUCTIONLURATA 80MG contain Lurasidone which belongs to a group of medicine called antipsychotics. It is used to manage symptoms of schizophrenia in adults (aged 18 years and over) and adolescents aged 13-17 years. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder with distortions in thinking, perception and emotions that includes hallucinations (hearing voices or seeing things that are not there) and delusions (fixed, false beliefs). This medicine helps in improving these symptoms of schizophrenia. It works by blocking receptors for neurotransmitters, dopamine and serotonin. By blocking their receptors, this medicine helps to normalise the activity of the brain, reducing the symptoms of schizophrenia. Always take LURATA 80MG exactly as your doctor has told you.
