INTRODUCTION ABOUT LIV 52 DS SYRUPLiv 52 DS Syrup is an Ayurvedic formulation which is used to strengthen the liver. It is used for the management of infective hepatitis, chemical hepatotoxicity (liver damage due to certain drugs like statins, drugs used in chemotherapy, anti-tubercular drugs and antiretrovirals), alcohol-induced liver damage, fatty liver, pre and early cirrhotic conditions, loss of appetite, and anorexia. It contains chicory and caper bush as active ingredients which have antioxidants and hepatoprotective qualities. Chicory also called as Kasani protects the liver against alcohol toxicity. It also exhibits antioxidant properties by removing free radicals from the body. The Caper Bush also called as Himsara, is a potent hepatoprotective agent which protects the liver cells and promotes regeneration and also keeps the liver enzymes in balance.
