Introduction
INTRODUCTION ABOUT ITORAX OD CAPSULEITORAX OD CAPSULE contains Itopride which belongs to a group of medicine called Gastroprokinetic agents. It is used in the management of gastrointestinal symptoms of functional dyspepsia (indigestion) and non-ulcer dyspepsia (bloating, upper abdominal pain, anorexia, heartburn, nausea and vomiting). ITORAX OD CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with an increase in gastrointestinal motility (gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction or perforation). The safety and effectiveness of ITORAX OD CAPSULE in pregnant women and children under 16 years of age has not yet been established. It is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women. How It Works
ITORAX OD CAPSULE stops the activity of dopamine D2 receptor and increases acetylcholine (messenger in the nervous system) concentrations which accelerates gastric emptying, improves gastric movement and reduces nausea and vomiting.
Directions for Use
Always take ITORAX OD CAPSULE exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects

BREASTFEEDINGITORAX OD CAPSULE is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is excreted in the breast milk. Your doctor will decide whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug, considering the importance of the drug to the mother. Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Before taking ITORAX OD CAPSULE inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: anti-ulcer drugs (Ex. cimetidine, ranitidine, teprenone and cetraxate) to manage gastric ulcers anticholinergic drugs (Ex. dicyclomine) to manage irritable bowel syndrome Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally use too much of ITORAX OD CAPSULE, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
