Introduction

INSTGRA 50MG TABLET contains Dolutegravir which belongs to the group of medicines called Integrase inhibitors. INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is used to manage HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) infection in adults, and children (aged 6 years/above) who should weigh at-least 14 kg/above. INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Dolutegravir. Before taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are suffering from advanced HIV infection and/or have weak immune system (prone to serious infections), kidney problems (such as mild to severe renal impairment), and liver problems (such as mild to moderate hepatic impairment). INSTGRA 50MG TABLET should be used with caution during pregnancy only if it is clearly necessary since the medicine may increase the risk of birth defect (such as neural tube defect/malformed spinal cord) in unborn baby. It is generally not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as the medicine may pass through breastmilk. INSTGRA 50MG TABLET is not recommended for use in children (aged below 6 years) and in children who weigh less than 14 kg and who are resistant to other medicines similar to INSTGRA 50MG TABLET. How It Works

INSTGRA 50MG TABLET works by reducing the amount of virus in the body which results in increased count of CD4 cell (white blood cell that helps body to fight infection) in blood managing HIV and managing the occurrence other infections in affected individuals.

Directions for Use

Take INSTGRA 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.

DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate machines, if you feel dizzy or have other side effects that make you less alert after taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET. ALCOHOLAvoid consumption of alcohol while taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET since it may increase the risk of occurrence of osteonecrosis (segmental bone death due to impaired blood supply). Drug Interactions

SA. Drug - Drug interactions: Before taking INSTGRA 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: fampridine (used to manage multiple sclerosis) metformin (used to manage diabetes) antacids (used to manage indigestion and heartburn) calcium supplements, iron supplements, and multivitamins etravirine, efavirenz, fosamprenavir/ritonavir, nevirapine or tipranavir/ritonavir (used to manage HIV infection) rifampicin (used to manage tuberculosis and other bacterial infections) phenytoin, phenobarbital (used to manage epilepsy) oxcarbazepine, carbamazepine (manage epilepsy/bipolar disorder) St. John’s wort (herbal medicine used to manage depression) Overdosage: If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of INSTGRA 50MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital to manage overdose symptoms.
