Introduction

HISONE 10MG TABLET contains Hydrocortisone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. HISONE 10MG TABLET is used as a replacement therapy to replace insufficient adrenal hormone in the body that occurs due to inactive/underactive adrenal gland in affected individuals. HISONE 10MG TABLET is also used to inhibit adrenocorticotropic hormone (chemical messenger responsible to regulate cortisol) when taken in combination with aminoglutethimide medicine for breast and prostate cancer. The medicine is also used to manage few types of illness and replace insufficient adrenal hormone after injury, surgery and/or other stressful events. HISONE 10MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients allergic to hydrocortisone, certain foods, preservatives and/or dyes. It is also not recommended for use in patients with fungal infections (such as thrush, candida) and in patients who recently received/scheduled (for) vaccinations. Before taking HISONE 10MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you have/ever had severe depression, manic depression, septicaemia (life threatening infection), stomach ulcer, chicken pox/shingles, weakened immune system, high blood pressure, heart problems (such as heart attack, congestive heart disease), kidney and/or liver problems. HISONE 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women only if it is clearly necessary. It is also used with caution in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). How It Works

HISONE 10MG TABLET works by replacing insufficient cortisol (naturally produced steroid) levels and blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (responsible for inflammation and allergies) in the body which results in decreased swelling and providing relief from inflammation and pain in affected individuals.

Directions for Use

Take HISONE 10MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects

DRIVING AND USING MACHINESDo not drive or operate machines if you experience extreme tiredness, short lasting dizziness, changes in eyesight (such as blurred vision) and/or muscle weakness after taking HISONE 10MG TABLET. KIDNEYHISONE 10MG TABLET should be used in caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking HISONE 10MG TABLET. LIVERHISONE 10MG TABLET should be used in caution in patients with liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking HISONE 10MG TABLET. ALLERGYDo not take HISONE 10MG TABLET if you are allergic to hydrocortisone, certain foods, preservatives, dyes and/or any ingredients of this medicine. HEART DISEASEHISONE 10MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with heart problems such as heart attack and congestive heart disease. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine. Symptoms of overdosage are nausea/vomiting, salt & fluid retention, high blood sugar and/or gastrointestinal bleeding.
