INTRODUCTION ABOUT HALOX LOTIONHALOX LOTION contains Halobetasol which belongs to the group of medicines called Topical Corticosteroids. HALOX LOTION is used in the management of plaque psoriasis in patients. Plague psoriasis is an autoimmune disease that cause your cells to reproduce very quickly resulting in thick, scaly patches on skin called plaques which is generally characterized by symptoms such as raised, discolored (red, brown, gray or purple) plaques with a white or silvery surface, cracks (fissures), bleeding, itchiness, irritation, and or pain which most commonly occurs on elbow, back, knees, and scalp. HALOX LOTION possesses anti-inflammatory, anti-pruritic and vasoconstrictive properties. It induces phospholipase A2 inhibitory proteins such as lipocortins. The protein inhibits the biosynthesis of pro-inflammatory mediators such as leukotrienes and prostaglandins by inhibiting arachidonic acid, a precursor of pro-inflammatory mediators.
Directions for Use
Apply HALOX LOTION as directed by your doctor. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of this medicine to the affected skin twice daily and rub in gently. It should not be used for more than 2 weeks. Consult your doctor for advice.
