INTRODUCTION ABOUT GERBISA L SOLUTIONGERBISA L SOLUTION contains Sodium picosulfate which belongs to the group of medicines called Laxatives. It is used for short-term relief of functional constipation. Constipation is defined as fewer than three bowel movements a week, stools that are hard, dry, lumpy, difficult, or painful to pass. Your doctor might advise you to take a rich fibre diet, have more fluid intake, and do regular exercise. GERBISA L SOLUTION is not recommended for use in patients with severe dehydration, ileus, gastrointestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal ulceration, or perforation. Avoid the consumption of alcohol during management with this medicine. It is also not recommended if you have appendicitis, acute inflammatory bowel diseases, or severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting. GERBISA L SOLUTION should be used with caution in patients with liver disease or epilepsy. It should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. GERBISA L SOLUTION works by increasing the mucosa of the large intestine and rectum. Which in turn increases its motility (movement), accumulation of water, hence softening the stool and stimulating defecation (emptying of the bowel).
