Forcan Infusion 100ml

FORCAN INFUSION is used to manage various fungal infections such as systemic candidiasis (fungal infection affecting the blood, brain, heart, eyes, or other parts of the body), mucosal candidiasis (fungal infection affecting the mouth, throat, or denture sore mouth), cryptococcosis (fungal infection mainly affecting the lungs and brain), genital thrush (infection of the vagina or penis), dermatomycosis (fungal infection affecting the skin), and fungal infections affecting the ears. FORCAN INFUSION is also used to manage fungal infections in patients with a reduced immune system.

FORCAN INFUSION helps in managing fungal infection where fluconazole inhibits the synthesis of certain compounds (ergosterol) that are essential components of the fungal cell membrane, resulting in increased cellular permeability that causes leaking of cellular contents. Moreover, it also impairs various important biological processes inside the fungal cell body required for its survival, thereby killing the fungal cell bodies.

FORCAN INFUSION may cause a reduction in the number of white blood cells, and your resistance to infection may be decreased. If you experience an infection with symptoms such as fever and serious deterioration of your general condition or fever with local infection symptoms such as sore throat, pharynx, mouth, or urinary problems while getting managed with FORCAN INFUSION, you should contact your doctor immediately. Your doctor might ask you to take a blood test.

Before using FORCAN INFUSION, tell your doctor if you have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription, vitamin supplements, or herbal products.

FORCAN INFUSION is not recommended for use by pregnant women. FORCAN INFUSION is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it passes through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before using FORCAN INFUSION.

The most common side effect of taking FORCAN INFUSION is diarrhea. If diarrhea occurs, drink plenty of fluids, like water or fruit juice, to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine without advice from your doctor for managing diarrhea. If the symptom does not improve or persist, contact your doctor.

Occasionally, dizziness or fits can occur in people using FORCAN INFUSION, so caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs. Consult your doctor before taking it.

The most common side effects of taking FORCAN INFUSION are headache, rash, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, indigestion, acne, burning sensation, itching, and irritation. Contact your doctor if any of the above symptoms worsen or persist.

FORCAN INFUSION is not recommended for use if you are allergic to fluconazole or other ingredients of this medicine or have rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Before taking FORCAN INFUSION, inform your doctor if you have liver, kidney, heart disease, AIDS, or an infection that affects the whole body, a yeast infection (cryptococcosis), other fungal infections, abnormal levels of potassium, calcium, or magnesium in your blood, are prone to developing severe skin reactions (itching, reddening of the skin, or difficulty breathing), or have a history of adrenal insufficiency.
