Introduction
INTRODUCTIONFLURISONE 0.1% contains Fluorometholone which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids. It is used to manage ocular conditions such as inflammation of the eye due to injury, swelling, itching, redness, irritation, ocular trauma, conjunctivitis, and post-surgery. Before using FLURISONE 0.1% inform your doctor if you have blurred vision or other visual disturbances, eye infection, have or have been previously manageed for herpes simplex, wear soft (hydrophilic) contact lenses. If you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant or planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before using FLURISONE 0.1% and it is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as safety is not established. Consult your doctor before using FLURISONE 0.1%. FLURISONE 0.1% is not recommended for use in children (under 2 years of age) due to lack of safety and effectiveness. How It Works
FLURISONE 0.1% works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (called prostaglandins) that causes pain and inflammation. Also, it helps to relieve the symptoms such as itching and redness of the eye.
Directions for Use
Use FLURISONE 0.1% as advised by your physician. Shake well before use. It is for ophthalmic use only. Before applying, tilt your head back and look upward. Gently pull the lower eyelid to form a small pocket. Squeeze the upturned dropper bottle to release a drop into your eye. Release the lower lid and close your eye for 30 seconds. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age and severity of the condition.
Side Effects
