USES OF FLUPEN 0.5MG TABLET Manage schizophrenia and other psychoses in affected individuals HOW FLUPEN 0.5MG TABLET WORKSFLUPEN 0.5MG TABLET works by acting on specific nerve pathways in brain which leads to balance of certain chemicals in the brain thus managing the occurrence of schizophrenia and other psychotic symptoms in affected individuals. DIRECTIONS FOR USETake FLUPEN 0.5MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. SIDE EFFECTS OF FLUPEN 0.5MG TABLETCOMMON drowsiness dry mouth muscle spasm rigidity of the whole body changes in appetite/weight sleeplessness depression nervousness/agitation dizziness headache reduction in sex drive speech problems fits poor concentration blurred/abnormal vision throbbing/fast heartbeats shortness of breath increase of saliva vomiting indigestion diarrhea increased sweating itching muscle pain tremor abnormal urination general weakness/pain tiredness/feeling unwell UNCOMMON confusion loss of co-ordination/altered muscle movements (including unusual movements of mouth, tongue and eyeballs) low blood pressure hot flushes stomach pain nausea flatulence and constipation rashes/skin reactions (including sensitivity to sunlight) stiff and floppy muscle trouble with ejaculation/erections in men RARE difficulty in breathing swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat which leads to difficulty in swallowing/breathing severe itching of skin (with raised lumps) signs of reduced blood platelet count such as risk of bleeding/bruising breast enlargement in male unexpected excretion of breast milk absence of menstrual periods (in women) Stop taking FLUPEN 0.5MG TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects: signs of blood clots in the veins especially in the legs such as redness, swelling, and pain associated with chest pain and difficulty in breathing signs of neuroleptic malignant syndrome (life threatening antipsychotic drug reaction) such as high fever, unusual stiffness of the muscles and/or changes in consciousness (associated with sweating and fast heart rate) signs of tardive dyskinesia (movement disorder that causes involuntary, repetitive body movements) such as unusual movements of the mouth and tongue signs of extra pyramidal reaction (drug induced disorders) such as unusual muscle movements (circular movements of the eyes), stiffness, tremor and restlessness irregular heartbeats signs of jaundice such as yellowing of skin and whites of eyes difficulty in breathing swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat which leads to difficulty in swallowing/breathing severe itching of the skin (with raised lumps) if you have suicidal thoughts
