Introduction
FLECARITE 50MG TABLET contains Flecainide which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiarrhythmics. It is used to manage Arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat such as Wolff-Parkinson White Syndrome), tachycardia (fast heartbeat) and fibrillation (rapid contractions of the muscles in the heart). FLECARITE 50MG TABLET is not recommended in patients with heart disease such as heart failure, heart attack, heart valve problems, cardiogenic shock, electrolyte imbalance, Brugada syndrome (heart rhythm disturbance). Consult your doctor before taking it. FLECARITE 50MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with severe liver disease, kidney disease, enlarged heart, chest pain (angina), severe low heartrate. How It Works
FLECARITE 50MG TABLET works directly on the heart tissue and will slow the nerve impulses in the heart. This helps keep the heart rhythm normal and manages irregular heartbeats effectively.
Directions for Use
Take FLECARITE 50MG TABLET as advised by your physician. It should be taken on an empty stomach or at least one hour before a meal. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Side Effects

ALLERGYDo not take FLECARITE 50MG TABLET if you are allergic to Flecainide or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. HEART DISEASEFLECARITE 50MG TABLET is not recommended in patients with heart disease such as heart failure, heart attack, heart valve or conduction problems and cardiogenic shock. FLECARITE 50MG TABLET should be used with caution if you have a pacemaker, enlarged heart, angina, rapid and irregular heartbeat after surgery, severe slow heartrate and low blood pressure. Drug-Drug interactions: Before taking FLECARITE 50MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine: medicine used in the management of heart failure, high blood pressure, arrhythmias (Ex. digoxin, propranolol, hydrochlorothiazide, verapamil, quinidine, disopyramide, procainamide, amiodarone) medicines used to manage depression (Ex. fluoxetine, paroxetine, reboxetine, amitriptyline) medicines used in the management of epilepsy (Ex. phenytoin, phenobarbital, carbamazepine) medicine used to manage mental illness (Ex. clozapine, haloperidol and risperidone) antihistamines (medicines used to manage hay fever and allergies) Ex. astemizole, mizolastine or terfenadine medicine used to manage malaria (Ex. quinine, quinidine and halofantrine) medicine used to manage HIV or AIDS (Ex. ritonavir, lopinavir and indinavir) medicine used in the management of ulcer (Ex. cimetidine) anti-smoking aid (Ex. bupropion) medicine used to manage fungal infections (Ex. terbinafine) laxatives (medicines that stimulate bowel movement) Ex. bisacodyl corticosteroids (used to manage inflammatory conditions) Ex. prednisone B.
